The list of the county’s varsity basketball teams still scheduled to play tonight is down to two. The Greene County girls and boys were to begin the season at home in the brand new Greene County High School gym with Roland-Story (Story City), but those contests have all been postponed to Saturday, Jan. 30. The postponement is reportedly due to circumstances involving the Norsemen. As a result, there is no basketball broadcasts tonight on KG98.

Both Greene County girls and boys are set to host Ogden tomorrow with the girls at 1 p.m. and the boys to follow. Those games are still on, and are scheduled to be the first basketball games in the new gym in Jefferson. Saturday’s games are set to be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage at 12:40 p.m. with the girls playing at 1 p.m. and the boys to follow.

The Paton-Churdan basketball teams are at home for the first time this season tonight. The Rockets host Glidden-Ralston in a girl/boy doubleheader in Churdan. P-C is 1-0 on the girls’ side and 0-1 on the boys.
