It was Rockets vs. Rockets on Tuesday night in Westside as Paton-Churdan visited Ar-We-Va in Rolling Valley Conference boys’ basketball. The game was the first of the season for both teams and Ar-We-Va won by a final of 47-30.
Coach Bud Fagen’s P-C team found the going rough when it came to scoring points. “A really cold shooting night” is how the coach put it.
Conner Brus led P-C with eight points, followed by six apiece from Bradyn Smith and Shaydon Thurman.
The Rockets will hope to do better the next time out, which is only two days away. P-C hosts Glidden-Ralston on Friday, Dec. 4 in Churdan in a girl/boy doubleheader to start the home portion of the schedule.
