The Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs and Fillies played a double header down in Adel, and both came out victorious with the boys winning 76-38 and the girls winning by the score of 57-28.
The boys were able to control the game throughout the night, and were able to get some big performances out of their key players, including senior Luke Rankin, junior Cole Glasgow, and junior Bo Huston, all of who were able to score in double figures for the Mustangs. DCG lead by 11 at half, but went on a massive run in the third quarter, including running a terrific fast break that lead them to many easy buckets.
On the girls side, defense was key for DCG as they were able to slow down the ADM Tiger attack that was averaging around 59 points per game. The Fillies were able to get some good play out of multiple players including freshman Vanessa Bickford who was able to get a solid game under her belt.
DCG will be back on the court on Friday night, when they open up conference play at home.
