The Guthrie County Extension and Outreach Office has announced the rescheduling date for its “Linking Food with Literacy” course that had to be postponed last month.
The class, which will be led by ISU Extension Health and Nutrition Specialist Holly Van Heel, will focus on helping parents and other childcare providers develop their children to be ready for academic success by the time they enroll in elementary school.
Van Heel will incorporate children’s books and cooking into the class, which will give attendees two credit hours toward their childcare license renewal if they need it.
Cost for participation in the course is $10 and pre-registration is required. The class will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 6:30pm.
Anyone with questions about “Linking Food with Literacy” or if you’d like to register, contact the Guthrie County Extension Office at 641-747-2276.
