The Guthrie Center City Council approved the disposal of property during their regular meeting Monday.

The Council received one bid at $1 for the property at 705 North 5th Street from Chris Bunde. The Council also held a bid opening and approved setting a public hearing on December 14th for the property at 201 North 1st Street. The Council received one bid of $10 for the property. The Council also approved a second change order for the aquatic center bathhouse/public restroom project of about $872, which Public Works Director Bob Secoy commented it was a legitimate request for water line work. They also received an update on the change of ownership of Jensen Sanitation from Eric and Jenna Morris to R&S Waste Disposal of Ankeny. Eric told the Council that he and his employees will still provide waste services as normal but they are now owned by R&S, for which representative Dave Massey attended the meeting.
