The second installment of the Guthrie County Arts Council’s Holiday Artist Showcase Series is coming up, with opportunities to support area artists and flex your own art skills.

The showcase takes place Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Art on State in downtown Guthrie Center from now until December 5th, and each event includes a free “make and take” activity. Arts Council volunteer Debbie Menning says visitors of all ages can make a free Christmas ornament with no preregistration required, “Those will be located in our south room, so again we can space people out even more. It’s really neat to have a make and take every Saturday because potentially you could come in and make five free gifts for friends and family while you’re at it.”

Each weekend also features different area artists and local businesses, with this Saturday featuring Panora artist Shirley Konz and JV Vineyard from Scranton. Free refreshments will also be served.
