West Central Valley Wildcats girls basketball will be on the court for the first time this season today with this being the first official practice days for girls basketball in the state of Iowa.

The Wildcats will be looking to improve upon their 12-10 record from last season, and even though they lost some very key players from that team, they still have quite a bit of talent back this year, and believe that they should be competitive night in and night out in the West Central Activities Conference.

Some of the things that they will be focused on includes working into a routine for best possible success, working on skills on the defensive end to keep improving, as well as working on conditioning since this is a Wildcat team that likes to play at a rapid pace.

The Wildcats will be looking for a good first week of practice, as they will have three total weeks of practice before their first game on November 30th.
