Iowa farmers are continuing to make progress on this year’s harvest.
According to the latest Crop Progress and Condition report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 13% of corn remains to be harvested, three weeks ahead of this time last year, and nearly two weeks ahead of the five-year average. Only 3% of soybeans are left to be harvested this season, just over three weeks ahead of last year and two weeks ahead of average. Farmers in west-central Iowa are among the leading regions of the State as they have 1% or less of soybeans to be harvested.
