Both Guthrie and Adair counties are approaching a 20% 14-day COVID-19 positivity rate as they’re reported double-digit increases in positive cases.
According to the Guthrie and Adair County Dashboard, Wednesday Guthrie County reported 36 new positive cases since Sunday, increasing their total to 463. They also have 303 recoveries and 15 deaths. Guthrie County has a 17.3%,14-day positivity average. Adair County has 17 new cases since Sunday, increasing their total to 239 with 77 recoveries and one death. Adair County has a 19.3% 14-day positivity rate.
According to the State Dashboard Wednesday, Dallas County has 138 new cases since Sunday increasing their total to 3,912, ninth-most in the State. There have been 2,971 recoveries and 49 deaths. Dallas County has an 11.1% 14-day positivity rate. Greene County added 19 new cases, increasing their total to 225, 136 recoveries, and zero deaths. Greene County’s 14-day positivity rate is 7.9%.
Statewide, there are a total of 136,890 cases, with 96,820 recoveries and 1,788 deaths. Of the 996,657 people that have been tested, 858,068 were negative, a 13.7% positivity rate.
Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 214 hospitalized patients, 35 in Intensive Care Units, and 34 admitted in the last 24 hours.
