The recent Greene County High School football season saw the Rams go 7-3 and advance to the Class 2A playoffs round of 16 under the direction of head coach Caden Duncan. For more than 30 years a sharing program for football has existed with Paton-Churdan and Pat Kruse, the Activities Director for the Rockets, told Raccoon Valley Radio, he’s proud of the players, especially those from P-C, which included four varsity players.
Three of the four earned District 9 All-District recognition. Junior Bradyn Smith was a first team middle linebacker, junior Mason Stream was a first team offensive lineman, and senior Forest Thompson was on the second team as an offensive center. Junior Joe Carey was a receiver and backup quarterback.
“Bradyn was fun to watch. Extremely competitive and a coach’s dream. Then, we actually had Forest at center, with Bradyn and Mason on the left side of the line. It was kind of fun, and a good feather in the cap for Paton-Churdan.”
