Gary and Shirley Haupert-2019 ABC Award winners

Nominations are open now for this year’s volunteerism award with Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community.

The annual Above and Beyond the Call (ABC) Award is given to an individual or a couple who, through personal involvement, leadership qualities and unselfish giving of time and talent, positively impacted activities or accomplishments that are beneficial to the community at large. Anyone who will be considered for the award and should exemplify specific characteristics, including involvement in several community betterment activities, and those activities should not be directly tied to the nominee’s business interests; the nominee should also exhibit leadership qualities and capabilities of initiating and carrying out community projects, and the nominee should possess characteristics that produce harmony and goodwill in promoting worthy projects.

The 2019 ABC Award recipients were Gary and Shirley Haupert for their volunteerism with the Greene County Action Resource Center. The deadline to submit nominations is December 11th by 4pm to the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center in Jefferson. Click the link below to access the nomination form.
