6:33am: A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Eaton Avenue near 190th Street.

8:48am: A deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 800 block of 9th Street, Scranton.

8:49am: A deputy investigated a parking complaint in the 800 block of 9th Street, Scranton.

10:52am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street and Neola Avenue.

11:48am: Sebastian Ramirez 22 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for a Dallas County arrest warrant for a controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug tax stamp, and possession of a controlled substance 1st offense.

1:59pm: A deputy investigated a hit and run accident on M Avenue near 180th Street. A tractor had struck a utility pole and left the scene. The tractor was not located.

2:00pm: Jacob Hartman 32 of Des Moines was booked into the jail for failure to appear.

3:09pm: A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on Neola Avenue near 290th Street. Jamie Daggett 23 of Des Moines was traveling north on Neola Avenue near 290th Street. Conner Willson 25 of Jefferson was also traveling north on Neola Avenue just behind Jamie. Both vehicles came up behind a slow-moving vehicle and both decided to pass. Jamie came out of the lane and struck Conner who was also passing. The estimated damage to Conner Willson’s 2007 PTRB was estimated around 500 dollars. The estimated damage to Jamie’s 2013 Honda Elentra was around 1,500 dollars.

4:16pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a male subject causing a disturbance in the 100 block of East Lincolnway.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
