Greene County and other girls’ high school basketball teams around Iowa begun official practice on Monday, Nov. 9. Todd Gordon is the head girls’ coach at Greene County High this season, and he’s also the school’s activities director.

“It’s a quick turnaround and you like it to be a quick turnaround because we just finished playing football, and obviously we wish we were still playing, but when you play football into the end of October and then your Winter sports get going a couple weeks after that, that’s want you want. Our kids are competing at good levels and competing late into their seasons, and that means we’re on the right track.”

Boy’s basketball and wrestling teams in Iowa begin official practice on Nov. 16.
