ADMs Nate Mueller was able to repeat as the state cross country champion winning the boys class 3A championship on Friday afternoon in Fort Dodge. Mueller was able to repeat as the state champion as he was able to put together a great time of 15 minutes and 28 seconds. Mueller and Humboldt’s Quinton Orr were neck and neck for the first half of the race, before Mueller was able to pull away in dominating fashion to take home the state championship crown.
The boys team was able to finish 9th on the day, as they were able to have multiple runners put up good performances. In 33rd place is junior Cooper Greenslade, who was able to run at a time of 17 minutes and 21 seconds, and senior Ethan Juergens, who was able to get 37th place with a time of 17 minutes and 23 seconds.
Girls runner Geneva Timmerman was able to run a very good race, as she was able to finish in 7th place with a time of 19 minutes and 9 seconds, putting together a great race in a pace that was torrid from beginning to end. The sophomore was able to make some monster strides throughout the season and was tremendous from beginning to end.
