There are several trick-or-treat related events happening in Guthrie County this weekend, many of them traditional and some having a social distancing twist.
Tomorrow, Guthrie Center will have a beggars night from 5-6 p.m. downtown and 6-7 p.m. residential, Panora will have theirs from 6-8 p.m., and Yale is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Kids can also show off their costumes, get free candy, and a grab-and-go meal at the Lakeside Village’s Not-So-Spooky Socially Distanced Halloween Parade from 4:30-6:30 p.m. outside the assisted living facility in Panora. Instead of a beggars night in Bagley, the fire department will travel around the City tossing candy to children outside their homes at 5:30 p.m. Children are asked to dress in costume and stand at their curb, and residents are welcome to join in the parade lining up on Main Street at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Stuart will host their beggars night from 5-6:30 p.m. downtown and 6-8 p.m. residential, Bayard and Casey will host theirs from 5-7 p.m., and Menlo will host “trunk-or-treat” on Sherman Street from 5-6 p.m. with residential trick or treating from 6-7 p.m.
