Monday, October 26th

8:07am: An officer took a Burglary Complaint from Q3 Contracting. Work vehicles belonging to the contractor had been parked at 716 West Clark Street over the weekend. Unknown subject(s) had pried open the toolboxes on the vehicle and stole numerous construction tools and equipment. The stolen items will exceed $5000.00 in value to replace. The officer is investigating.

9:42am: Dalton Ostrander called and reported he had struck a utility pole near the water tower in the 900 Block of West Central Ave. The 2001 Ford F250 is owned by Ostrander and he advised he lost control and the vehicle swerved to the north, striking the pole. The vehicle had a reported $7500.00 in front end damages. Alliant Energy was contacted to inspect the utility pole for damage. Ostrander was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”

1:30pm: Annette Russell reported a Hit & Run Accident that had occurred on 10/22/2020 at 106 West Washington Street. Her 2019 Dodge Ram Truck had been struck by an unknown vehicle, causing $1000.00 damage to the bedside.

2:05pm: Jennifer Menard reported a possible No Contact Order Violation. Her estranged boyfriend has been contacting her by text message. The male has not been served with the No Contact Order yet, making it not in effect. No violation has occurred. The officer forwarded address information for the male to a metro agency to attempt to serve the order on him.

3:54pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. It was determined to be a false alarm.

7:23pm:, An officer assisted a motorist with Mechanical Issues at Elm and American Ave. The officer contacted a towing company for the subject.

8:35pm: A caller reported loud vehicles doing donuts in the Middle School Parking Lot at 101 Ram Drive. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
