West Central Valley freshmen runner Taitlin Koch has been a phenomenal runner during the 2020 campaign for the Wildcats, and added to her accomplishments finish 13th overall in the district race in Panora on Friday, which helped her qualify for the state race in Fort Dodge.

Koch was absolutely terrific, as he finished with a time of 22 minutes and 5 seconds, finish just a few seconds above that cut off time, as her dash to the finish was just enough for this young Wildcats runner. She was able to stick to her game plan, not pushing herself too hard out of the gate, and had enough energy to make a strong finish in the end.

The West Central Valley girls team finished 11th out of the 13 team race, while the boys finished 13th. Unfortunately, no other Wildcat runners will be be racing in the state race.

For Koch, this is a massive accomplishment to make it to state, and will hope to put up a great performance for her school next week up in Fort Dodge.
