A Jefferson man faces a felony charge following a search warrant of his home.

According to court documents, 35-year-old Justin Cosnotti is charged with a Class D Felony for control of a firearm/ammunition by a domestic abuse offender. The charge stems from an executed search warrant on September 23rd at Cosnotti’s residence in the 200 block of East Russell Street in Jefferson. 

The search warrant was issued after Cosnotti allegedly violated a no contact order several times from another incident. During the search, the officer found firearm ammunition, which he was prohibited from possessing as part of the no contact order, as well as being a convicted felon. Cosnotti was transported from Polk County Jail to the Greene County Jail, where he was booked and remains at this time.
