As the Greene County Rams football team prepares for its upcoming opponent against Clarinda, fans are reminded of the COVID-19 precautions that are in place.
Activities Director Todd Gordon reminds fans to wear a mask when entering and exiting Linduska Field, along with the common areas of the facility, such as restrooms and the concession stand. There are a limited number of tickets available and social distancing will be marked in the bleachers, both on the home and visitor sides. Another change that happened at the beginning of the shortened regular season was the use of online ticket purchases through Home Town Ticketing. Gordon describes his impression of using this kind of technology.
“What it really did was it makes coming into those gates really simple. Because we just scan their online ticket, or scan it if they printed it off, and they’re in. Obviously no money changed hands during that, so it was a really safe process as well. We’re going to see use that more and more as we move forward, especially when we open up our new auditorium. We start having musicals, plays, and things like that. People will be able to go in and select their seats and see exactly where they are sitting.”
If you can’t watch the game in person, Raccoon Valley Radio will be broadcasting the game live on KGRA 98.9FM and it will be streamed online at raccoonvalleyradio.com, with kick-off slated for 7pm on Friday.
