After an hour of discussion the Guthrie Center School Board decided to do more research before enacting a mask mandate for the elementary and high schools.

The Board also heard a presentation on fall reading assessments, held a Google workshop, and approved Ahlers & Cooney to serve as the District’s new legal representation. The Board also decided not to offer early retirement this year, the first time doing so since 2017, and directed to speak with the City of Guthrie Center about snow plowing before taking action on adding speed bumps to the high school parking lot. Finally, the Board approved a special education services contract with Metro West Learning Center, and approved a quote from Carroll Control Systems to replace three air conditioning units in the high school.
