The Iowa high school volleyball postseason starts tonight. Greene County is at home to Southeast Valley (Gowrie) and Paton-Churdan is on the road at Ft. Dodge St. Edmond. Both matches start at 7 p.m.

Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 7-18 on the season after losing all three matches on Saturday at the Winterset Invitational, falling to Class 4A program Winterset and Webster City, and 3A number 8 Red Oak. Tonight’s match is in Class 3A Region 2. Southeast Valley is 8-14 with one of those victories coming against Greene County on Oct. 1, the opening night of the new gym in Jefferson.

P-C is 7-8 and faces a 4-7 St. Edmond team in Class 1A opening round regional action. Coach Tressa Rasmussen’s Rockets have not met St. Edmond this season.

Tonight’s winners will play again on Wednesday of this week while the teams that lose will see their postseasons come to an end.
