Guthrie County Relay for Life’s garage sale fundraiser is returning from 2018, with some changes to protect against COVID-19.

The event will be held Friday, October 23rd from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday October 24th from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the red shed owned by Eric and Jenna Morris located at 2316 School Street in Guthrie Center. This new location will help promote social distancing, and face masks are encouraged with hand sanitizer also provided. There will also be a silent auction, and a grab-and-go maid-rite dinner both Friday and Saturday, free for cancer survivors. American Cancer Society Senior Community Development Manager Kim Durst says survivors can also come pick up their 2020 Relay for Life pins along with a special treat, “Some fun things to do and we thought this would be a great opportunity to once again show support for cancer survivors in Guthrie County and to continue to fund the mission which is so greatly at risk right now with everything that’s happening right now in our world with this pandemic.”

All proceeds from the garage sale will go to the American Cancer Society.
