12:49am: An officer located and secured an Open Door at 1002 North Cedar Street.
6:37am: A Traffic Stop in the 1900 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Casimiro Rangel of TX. being cited for, “Failure to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”
8:25am: Edward Jones reported smelling smoke at 110 South Wilson Ave. The business believed a neighboring business had been burning items in a fire pit outside, causing their business to smell like smoke.
10:41am: The A&;W reported someone had placed a large amount of medical waste in an outside garbage can at 300 North Elm Street. The officer removed the items and properly disposed of the Hazardous Waste.
1:15pm: A Traffic Stop at South Elm and 250th Street resulted in (2) arrests. The female driver and a male passenger were asked for identification. The male advised he did not have any identification with him and provided a name and date of birth to the officer. The officer determined the male had given him a false name. The couple also had an active Order of Protection in place with the male being the Protected Party. Patrick Scott Beardsley, 40 of Guthrie Center was arrested and charged with, “Interference with Official Acts – Simple and Violation of a Protective Order – Simple. Alicia Marie Beardsley, 27 of Guthrie Center was charged with, “Violation of a Protective Order – Simple.” She was also cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”
8:16pm: JoAnn Laxson requested an officer at 611 South Cedar Street for a Domestic Abuse Assault. The officer arrived and spoke to the couple. JoAnn claimed her husband had struck her in the face with a closed fist. The officer found markings on her face consistent with her version of events. The husband denied striking her. The officer separated the parties for the evening, due to health reasons the male could not be accepted at the jail. The officer has requested an Arrest Warrant for, Floyd William Laxson, 60 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault – Simple.”
10:18pm: Curt Meinecke reported the smell of ammonia near 701 North Cedar Street. The officer could not find the source of the odor.
