Polling precincts for Perry voters will be combined into one location for the general election on November 3rd.
Dallas County Auditor Julia Helm says they’ve prioritized larger locations to accommodate social distancing better. All voters in Perry and Spring Valley Township can cast their ballots at the McCreary Center. Voters can request a mailed absentee ballot through Saturday, October 24th. Helm mentions that voters in Dallas County can also cast an absentee ballot in person at the Auditor’s Office, or at one of their satellite locations, “Anyone who lives in Dallas County at all, on October 15th and 16th from 2-8 p.m. at the McCreary Center, we will have all ballot styles to vote, any resident in Dallas County. At any satellite, any voter in Dallas County, we will have their ballot style. So if you happen to be down in Clive, you can go to the Heartland Presbyterian satellite on (October 23rd from 2-8 p.m. and October 24th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and you can vote there.”
Absentee ballots will start to be mailed out Monday. You can find a list of satellite locations in Dallas County and more information about absentee voting here.
