Paton-Churdan fell in four sets to CAM (Anita) on Tuesday night in Churdan in Rolling Valley Activities Conference volleyball. The Rockets fell to 3-4 on the season and 2-4 in conference play while CAM improved to 16-3. Scores were 25-22, 17-25, 23-25, 19-25.

Tressa Rasmussen, the first year head coach of the Rockets, told Raccoon Valley Radio, “I am so proud of the girls for battling through each set! CAM is a scrappy team and we hung right in there with them!”

Danielle Hoyle had 16 kills with eight for Tessa Steimel. Hoyle had all four of the blocks the Rockets recorded, and she was 16 of 17 serving with one ace. Hannah Bundt and Carmyn Paup each had two ace serves. Bundt was 11 for 11 from the service line and Paup went 13 for 15. Karissa Stephenson made good on all 17 of her serves with one ace, and Steimel was 11 for 12 serving with an ace. Stephenson had 21 digs, with 18 digs for Hoyle and 14 from Steimel.

The Rockets face RVAC opponent Boyer Valley on the road in Dunlap on Thursday night.
