The Community Conversations event in Jefferson is this week.

The monthly event will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church Thursday at 5:30pm. The discussion will be on local law enforcement with guest speakers, including Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams and Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse. Topics that will be discussed include plans for a new law enforcement center and the responsibilities of each agency. The program will be an open discussion for all attendees.

Organizers encourage those who want to bring a meal or a beverage to do so, but due to COVID-19, there will be no refreshments served. Attendees will be at least six feet apart and are encouraged to wear a mask.

Community Conversations are free and open to the public.
