Several more visitors have been enjoying Springbrook State Park this year during the current pandemic, and the park staff hopes the same will be said for their annual volunteer day event tomorrow.

More than 30 events are scheduled across Iowa’s state parks tomorrow which also serves to celebrate 100 years of the state park system. Volunteers are invited to help refinish campground picnic tables from 10 a.m.-noon at Springbrook, located north of Guthrie Center. This will be a socially-distanced activity and participants should wear a set of old clothes and gloves. The group will meet at the campground gazebo. Participants are asked to preregister by calling 641-295-6028 or emailing anne.riordan@dnr.iowa.gov.
