Greene County travels southwest to Red Oak on Friday for a Class 2A District 9 football game. The Rams are 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the district after a come-from-behind 22-19 Homecoming win in Jefferson vs. Nodaway Valley last Friday night. The Tigers are 0-4 and 0-2 this season, and the RO program has lost 16 games in a row dating back to the 2018 season.

Caden Duncan is head coach of the Rams. He told Raccoon Valley Radio his team needs to be ready to play the Tigers. “You can’t under estimate anybody. If anyone was under estimating Nodaway Valley, they were obviously mistaken there. We can’t make that mistake. We need to have a great week of practice and we have to get better. Throughout that game we have to have some quality reps so that we’re feeling good about ourselves, and just improving.”

The Rams at Red Oak Friday night can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Football coverage begins at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m.
