The West Central Valley Wildcats cross country team competed in the Tiger Invitiational in Adel on Monday, and got some good performances from some of their individual runners.

On the girls side, freshman Taitlin Koch was able to notch a really neat time during her 13th place finish, running with a time of 22 minutes and 17 seconds. Her teammate Shaynn Wahman was able to finish 36th with a time of 25 minutes and 41 seconds. The team finished 7th out of 8 teams.

On the boys side, a couple of runners lead the way for the Wildcats, with freshman Cael Hazen able to get 29th and run a time of 20 minutes and 21 seconds, and junior Matt Gerling finishing with a time of 20 minutes and 48 seconds. WCV finished 9th out of 10 teams.

The Wildcats will be having another race this week when they go take on multiple schools against host ACGC High School.
