The public is welcome to celebrate Iowa State Parks’ 100th birthday and take part in an annual event this month.

Springbrook State Park north of Guthrie Center will be holding their annual Volunteer Day event on Saturday, September 26th from 10 a.m.-noon. Volunteers are invited to help refinish campground picnic tables, and this will be a socially-distanced activity. Participants should plan to wear old clothes and gloves, and are asked to meet at the campground gazebo. In order to better plan for the event, volunteers are asked to preregister either by calling 641-295-6028 or emailing anne.riordan@dnr.iowa.gov.
