West Central Valley cross country was supposed to be back on the course Thursday evening at Spring Lake State Park against multiple schools for both the boys and the girls sides, but unfortunately that meet has been cancelled due to bad weather.
There has been a lot of rain in the state of Iowa this week, and with a good amount of moisture in the ground combined with forecasts that indicate more rain throughout the day, the decision was pretty easy for ran officials. The race is not expected to be made up, and if it was, would have to fit within the Wildcats schedule for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, it’s a missed opportunity for these Wildcat runners to improve upon their race last week at home, as they had multiple runners have great performances during that race.
The Wildcats will be looking for better weather next week when they compete in Panora at the Lake Panorama Course against mulitple schools.
