An Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Middle School student has tested positive for COVID-19.
The District released an update Thursday stating the positive case. The statement added that 17 other individuals will also have to quarantine for 14-days as they were determined to be in close contact with the student. This is the eighth positive case reported by the District including seven students and one non-teaching staff member. Another 30 individuals have also had to quarantine since the beginning of the school year.
The District will not be making health recommendations related to quarantine but confirmed those who tested positive, and those identified through contact tracing will not be allowed to attend school or participate in school functions until they are cleared. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
