One of the lone bright spots of pushing the Perry Farmers Market back on the calendar is getting to experience the transition from summer to fall produce.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Thursday’s Farmers Market started to feature some new treats for shoppers, “It was a beautiful evening, a little bit windy here and there, but nothing we couldn’t handle, a really nice night weather-wise to get out. We’ve got a nice variety right now. We’re starting to see lots and lots of tomatoes, but then also some of the fun fall things such as pumpkins, and some of the winter squash as well. So it’s a really nice variety plus all of the baked goods you can think of.”

The Perry Farmers Market will run each Thursday through the end of the month from 4 pm to 7 pm, on 2nd Street between Willis Avenue and Warford Street. You can hear more about the farmers market and other Perry Chamber news on Friday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program.
