The recent hurdles of COVID-19 hasn’t negatively affected the progress of the Perry Community School District’s seven-figure project.

Superintendent Clark Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio both the industrial technology facility and wrestling/multipurpose room have cleared inspections from the fire marshall and passed the city code inspection. Wicks adds this was the last major hurdle construction crews needed to clear before the home stretch. Now the school can start moving in equipment and prepare to use the new facilities. Funding for the work is from a $6.5 million bond referendum that was passed in February.
