The renovation project taking place at the Perry Public Library is starting to take shape.
Crews have torn out the old carpet, and have begun the process of installing drywall. Library Director Mary Murphy says once the library is back open, visitors will be able to take advantage of an improved environment that includes new flooring, renovated bathrooms, and an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) friendly entrance.
The library has been closed for the last few months, due to COVID-19 concerns, and recently broke ground on a renovation project. Despite not having their standard space, residents can still take advantage of what they have to offer. Since March patrons have been able to use curbside pickup for books, audiobooks, and dvds with no contact.
