12:52am: A deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 1200 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

1:24am: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on Main Street near State Street in Scranton.

10:20am: Matthew Hurley 39 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

11:45am: Roger Hicks 50 of Rippey was booked into the jail for animal neglect.

12:45pm: Jeremy Roper 36 of Churdan was booked into the jail for operating while under the influence 1st offense.

2:35pm: Jackson Norton 28 of Stuart was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

8:22pm: Kelvin Miller 20 of Boone was booked into the jail for a probation violation.

8:43am: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 2200 block of 320th Street.

2:06pm: The Sheriff investigated a head stone that was located under an old building that was being demolished in the 100 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

Saturday, August 22nd

7:09am: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on Lawrence Street in Dana.

7:44am: A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on S Avenue near 210th Street.

9:51am: A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on S Avenue and 220th Street. Jerod Baas 41 of Ames was operating a 2008 Dodge Dakota and did not see the vehicle in front of him come to stop. Jerod rear ended Donald Keller 71 of West Des Moines. Donald was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. The estimated damage to the Dodge Dakota was around 3,500 dollars. The estimated damage to the Corvette was around 8,000 dollars. Jerod was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance. Nobody was injured the accident.

12:37pm: A deputy assisted with a dog running at large in the 800 block of High Street, Scranton.

3:20pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

Sunday, August 23rd

3:20pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 100 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

7:23pm: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.

Monday, August 24th

10:27am: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.

10:36am: Jennifer Ashby 47 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for theft 5th degree.

11:50pm: Jody Schad 45 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for theft 5th degree and driving while barred.

2:29pm: Frank Farel 41 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

3:24pm: A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 100 block of Percival Street, Rippey.

5:38pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 900 block of Sand Street, Churdan.

6:10pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.

8:45pm: A deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 1900 block of 210th Street.

8:47pm: A deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 1900 block of 210th Street.

8:53pm: A deputy and Scranton Fire responded to a car fire on 240th Street near E Avenue. Raymond Cornelius 30 of Scranton was driving west on 240 h in a 2012 Chevrolet Cruse when he noticed flames under the hood. The car was a complete loss and determined to be caused by improperly installed after market equipment.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
