Construction work on entrance ramps to Interstate 35/80 is underway, leading to temporary closures on a major highway that connects Perry.

The entrance ramp from eastbound Highway 141 to southbound I-35/80 and the east and westbound I-35/80 exit ramps at the interchange are now closed. The Iowa Department of Transportation is working on realigning the ramps as part of the interchange reconstruction. The entrance ramp from eastbound Highway 141 to southbound I-35/80 is expected to reopen near the end of September and the westbound I-35/80 exit ramp to Highway 141 is expected to reopen in mid-October. 

There are also several changes coming to Highway 141 in the coming weeks. The inside lane of Highway 141 in both directions between 41st Street and Johnson Drive in Grimes will be closed for approximately two and and a half weeks while crews reconstruct the left turn lanes at 37th Street.
