Anytime you can bring back experience in any sport is a good thing, and for the West Central Valley Wildcats football team, they will have two senior leaders on the defensive side of the football that they will turn too for leadership and production as well this year.
Cael Carl and Kiefer Wallace will be two guys that the Wildcats will be counting on this year, after both getting mentioned for honors for all-district teams last year. Carl was able to put up a good season for the Wildcats, as he was able to finish out being one of the leading tacklers on the Wildcat team with 59 on the season. Wallace was also able to put up good numbers, as he was able to record 48 on the year. Both were often relied on to make big plays for a Wildcat defense that didn’t have a lot of depth last year, but both show a lot of toughness and resiliency throughout the season.
The Wildcats will be looking for a lot of guys to step up this year, but eyes will be on these two players to be great leaders for first year head coach Jim Lindsay.
The West Central Valley Wildcats football team will have a scrimmage Friday night to get prepared for the regular season against Clarke. That scrimmage will begin at 7:00 o’clock.
