The McCreary Community Center improvement project is marching towards the finish line.
Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio all the major construction is done and now it’s time for smaller tasks like wiring the sound system, internet connectivity, and other punch-list items. Peterson adds the timeline is now down to weeks, “Hopefully, in a couple weeks we’ll be able to look at reopening. We’re still not sure what that looks like in our pandemic we have going on, but we’re going to do our best to safely reopen as much of our rec center to get patrons back in there.”
Once completed, the McCreary Center will feature a 24-hour workout center, space for multi-purpose fitness studios, and a child watch area.
