The 15th Annual Trent Miner Memorial Parent/Child Golf Tournament will be held this Sunday, bringing kids and adults together for a charitable cause at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
This is the 15th year of the event which started a year after Trent, a Perry High School graduate, lost his battle with cancer. The Miner family began organizing the event to honor Trent who was an avid golfer.
The event will begin with the first group featuring pairs of children under 14 years old and will start at 9 a.m. The second group will start at 1 p.m. for pairs with children 15 and older, and it will be a best shot contest. In addition to the tournament there will be individual hole contests, as well as prizes for longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and more. There will also be a silent auction. All the proceeds will go towards the Trent Miner Scholarship Fund, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Caringbridge.
You can register for the tournament by calling the Perry Golf and Country Club at 515-465-3852.
