AUGUST 5 to AUGUST 6, 2020 

August 5: Accident: Vehicle 1-blue 2004 Chevy pickup registered to Thomas Howard of Perry, driven by Kody Blayze Nelson, 1914 W 4th St., Perry. Vehicle 2 – brown 2017 Ford Escape registered to and driven by Karen Elizabeth Rhodes, 1721 1st Ave., Perry. Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound on North Street when the bumper of his truck hit the back bumper of vehicle 2 who was also traveling east on North street, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of 1* and North. Unit 2’s brake system failed and driver of vehicle 2 complained of possible whiplash. EMT’S were called to the scene and the driver of vehicle 2 was not transported. No citations were issued. Accident: Vehicle 1 – Red 2000 Chrysler Sebring registered to and driven by Robin Kay Pickell, 716 William, Perry, Vehicle 2 – legally parked 2000 Dodge Neon registered to Wilfredo Cortez, 1616 W 30 St. Perry Vehicle 1 was traveling on Otley when she took her eyes off the road for a moment and struck vehicle 2. 

Total estimated damages $1000. 

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Otley on a theft report. Approximate loss $200. 

Arrest: Merrill Lynn Nauman, age 63, 304 SE Idaho St., Leon for public intoxication.
