Before video games, personal computers, and cell phones, kids played games outdoors, a lot! The world is much different than decades ago, but Greene County Activities Director Todd Gordon told Raccoon Valley Radio there still are athletes who want to go beyond the norm. “It still happens. It happens in places where kids want extra. Those kids either want to play at the next level, or they are just so competitive that they want to be the best they can at whatever they’re doing at that time.”

He added, “We (Greene County) have some kids like that. We just have to get more of them, and not ostracize somebody who does want to do that.”
