The West Central Valley Football team was able to remake their schedule a couple of weeks ago, and will have two interesting tests for their non-conference portion of their schedule. They now have games for week 1 and 2 against Nodaway Valley at home and against Eagle Grove on the road.
Nodaway Valley and West Central Valley both played each other last year, with the Wolverines getting the win by the score of 62-0. It will be a tough game for the Wildcats, but will have the home turf advantage for the first weekend of play.
The Eagle Grove game should be a really good test for a pair of teams that are trying to rebuild their football teams. Eagle Grove like West Central Valley last year, was unable to record a win last year and played in a lot of games that were not very close. It should be a good challenge for two teams that are expected to be very evenly matched up.
With the Wildcats losing two non-conference games, its gives them a couple of less opportunities to get reps and get better, but right now the opportunity to play is the most important thing for the 2020 season.
