During COVID-19 times it can be tough to find free entertainment, but the movie theater in Jefferson is doing just that.
The Sierra Community Theater is currently hosting its Free Summer Family Films. The non-profit movie theater is showing The House with the Clock in the Walls at 7pm tonight and tomorrow night, along with a 2pm Sunday matinee. Then from August 3rd-6th at 7pm each night will be the movie Sing.
Manager Sarah Nicholson says seating is limited to the first 50 people to each showing. She points out that face masks are strongly encouraged but not required in the theater. However, volunteers and staff are required to wear a face mask. The concession stand will be open for purchases. The movies are free due to the sponsorships of several local businesses and individuals.
