The football schedule has officially been updated for the West Central Valley Wildcats, as they had to change from their original nine game schedule down to a seven game schedule. The change was made by a ruling last week by the ISHAA that their would be two less weeks of the regular season with everyone qualifying for the postseason.

The Wildcats will be opening the season vs. Nodaway valley at home before going on the road to take on Eagle Grove for their non-conference portion of their schedule. The Wildcats will then compete in one of the toughest districts in the state with road games against Kuemper Catholic, Van Meter, and ACGC. They will have a home game against Panorama for homecoming on September 25th, and senior night the next week on October 2nd against Woodward-Granger.

Obviously the Wildcats and the rest of the state of Iowa will be keeping a close eye on how this season will look. The first fall practices of the season are scheduled for August 10th.
