The City of Adel continues to make progress on more than half-a-dozen infrastructure projects.
City Administrator Anthony Brown tells Raccoon Valley Radio the City is juggling seven different infrastructure projects worth approximately $24.87 million. The biggest of the group is construction on the new City water treatment plant. In the latest update, construction crews were able to lay concrete which will be used for the main parking lot. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2021. The other major project on the City’s radar is a new wastewater treatment plant, which they hope to accept a bid on in the next few weeks so they can begin construction later this year.
