Jefferson Matters: Main Street was recently designated with a national accreditation. 

JMMS received the 2020 Accredited Main Street America designation. The national accreditation is given to Main Street communities as the top tier recognition for the commitment to comprehensive commercial district revitalization, along with successfully applying the Main Street Approach. 

JMMS was evaluated by Main Street Iowa in partnership with Main Street America on ten performance standards. It is through this criteria that communities are identified as those that are able to foster public-private partnerships, documenting programmatic progress and actively preserving historic buildings.
