A farmland leasing meeting is coming up soon with Greene County ISU Extension.

Topics to be covered at the meeting include cash rental and land value survey rates, fair rent pricing, legal aspects of setting up a farm lease, and proper communication between the owner and tenant. The workshop will be led by ISU Extension Farm Specialist Tim Christensen and it will take place at the Extension Office in Jefferson on Thursday, July 30th from 9:30am-noon.

Cost to attend is $20 per person or $30 for a couple, which includes a 100-page workbook. Pre-registration ends on July 28th. Call 515-386-2138 or stop by the Extension Office to sign up.
