Another dominant effort on the mound lead the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs to an easy, 15-1 win on Friday night in the District opener over the Greene County Rams in Dallas Center.

Senior, Logan Smith got the start for Byron Peyton’s club.  Smith pitched 5 innings, picking up 8 strikeouts.

The Mustang offense had two big outbursts on Friday versus Greene County.  DC-G picked up 7 runs in the the first inning, and added another 8 runs in the 3rd.

The 15-3 Mustangs are back in action tonight, with a second round District match-up against the Carroll Tigers of the Raccoon River Conference.  Carroll is currently 8-12 on the season.

Game time is set for 7:00pm tonight in Dallas Center.
