The Greene County School Board will meet twice tomorrow tonight.
A work session will begin at 5:15pm. The Board will discuss the former middle school building and gym as well as hear a construction update on the new high school and career academy.
The regular meeting will then take place at 6:30pm. The Board will consider for approval the 2020-2021 depository resolution, appointing the Board’s legal counsel, treasurer and secretary for the 2020-2021 school year. The Board will also consider for approval the bond disclosure procedures, special COVID-19 board policies, fundraiser requests, an energy efficient building tax deduction, the nutrition bids for dairy and bakery for the 2020-2021 school year, along with several handbooks for this coming school year.
Additionally, the Board will consider approving a change order for asbestos, a commissioning proposal for the middle school conversion project, furniture and equipment for the new high school and career academy, legislative priorities with the Iowa Association of School Boards, along with the school district reopening plan and 2020-2021 board goals. Finally, the meeting will end in a closed session for goal setting for the superintendent.
The meetings will be in the administrative building in Jefferson. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the public is allowed into the meeting room, but strict numbers of attendees will be allowed. However, you can still access the meeting via electronically by clicking the link below.
